The next Auditor’s Sale is Friday, November 21, 2014, 10:00 a.m. in the Jefferson County Courthouse. Please choose Auditor’s Sale (below) for details and the list of parcels offered.
Be sure to bring a valid photo ID and arrive at least 30 minutes before the start of the Sale to register with the Treasurer’s Office. You must be current on all taxes to participate.
It is strongly recommended that you obtain a title search by a licensed professional on all properties you are interested in purchasing at any tax sale. It is your obligation to contact a professional to do the title search. The Jefferson County Prosecutor’s office does not perform title searches.
No payment is due on the day of the sale. The paperwork and deeds will be prepared by the Prosecutor’s office in the order the parcels were listed. You will be contacted by letter concerning the amount due including the deed recording fee. Please allow at least ninety (90) days to receive this information.
If you have questions regarding tax bills, payments, or want to request that a delinquent parcel be included in a future tax sale, please contact the Treasurer’s office at (740) 283-8572.
Questions concerning the tax sale may be directed to Vicki Bender, Office of the Jefferson County Prosecutor, at (740) 283-1966
