The Jefferson County Law Library 


The Jefferson County Law Library is located on the third floor of the county courthouse. The Law Library serves the legal community of Jefferson County and its surrounding areas. This includes judges, attorneys, county officials and their departments and agencies. The Law Library also welcomes the general public to visit the library and use its services. Non-members of the Law Library are advised to call beforehand to schedule an appointment during our public hours.


The Jefferson County Law Library is staffed by one Law Librarian and is governed by the Jefferson County Law Library Resources Board. The Library is a member of the Ohio Regional Association of Law Libraries.

The Jefferson County Law Library Resources Board Meeting Schedule 

The quarterly meetings of the Jefferson County Law Library Resources Board are scheduled for the 2nd Wednesday of March, June, September and December.  They take place at 2:30 p.m. in the Law Library on the third floor of the Jefferson County Courthouse.

These meeting dates are subject to change, so it is best to check this website for updates or contact the Law Library at (740) 283-8553.

                                              The next scheduled meeting date is  Wednesday, June 12, 2019 at 2:30 p.m.
